Prescribe Proper Dosage Of Medicines For Diabetes

I am a type 2 diabetic A1C was 12. I was currently on glipizide er 2 tabs once day and onglyza 5mg once day. Now my doctor has added metformin 500 twice a day. I have cut my carbs to almost none my blood was just 103... I scheduled to take 1 glipizide and 1 metformin tonight is it safe?

Dear sir i can understand your concern.
i guess your are having difficulty in controlling blood sugar.Hba1c above 10 will make you prone for all metabolic complications.
I am not able to understand your question,sorry.
If your plan is to reduce the dose as your sugar is 103,Then its a bad idea.
Dose reduction should be done only if you are getting frequent hypoglycemias.
Most of my patients who have Hba1c more than 12 i advise them to go for short term insulin therapy and then shift to tablets for recovery of pancreas.
