Pregnant, Scan Shows Small Fetus. Have I Had A Miscarriage?
I have just been for a scan. I am 7 weeks pregnant but the scan today shows fetus measuring 3.1mm which should be the size at 5-6 weeks & not 7 & it should be 5-6mm by now. My doctor said the sac looks OK but the fetus is a bit small. Last week I had a scan & it has grown since then but obviously not enough. Have I had a missed miscarriage or is there still hope that it will be OK?

Usually by 7 weeks fetus along with cardiac activity should be noted.
So as the scan is showing 5 to 6 weeks only, there is possibility of wrong dates or missed abortion.
You better wait for one more week possibly by that time the cardiac activity can be noted.
If not there is more possibility for miscarriage.
