Pregnant, lack of sleep, stress, looseness in stomach. Complications during pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, This is a question regarding pregnancy. My wife has 7th month running, she is feeling stress for some days , and is not able to sleep comfortably at night. She is feeling worried. Any clarification about that. I have come to know that her tummy is getting loosened and some people are saying it may be the case of abortion . Kindly guide what kind of symptoms show that there may be a case of abortion or complicacy...

Hi there ~

At the 7-8th month of pregnancy there is some loosening of the stomach. This is no cause of concern. In fact it may progress to difficulty in breathing as the uterus demands more space for growth. I do not think that this is something you need to be worried about at all. If your wife is having regular contractions that are getting worse by the day, you need to see an obstetrician. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day !
