Pregnant. Have Low Laying Anterior Placenta And Short Cervix. Tiffa Scan Done. Is It A Serious Problem?

In my TIFFA scan 17 weeks the reports said I have low laying anterior placenta and short cervix 2.1. But latter I counsulted 2 gynecologist and both did internal chk up and said that my placenta is normal and my cervix is now 3.3 , firstly should I still worry about it secondly will it be the same through out my pregnancy

A low laying placenta at 17 weeks usually get migrated to higher levels as the pregnancy advances. But you have to be careful about the possibility of bleeding, avoid strenuous activities, weight bearing, frequent internal examinations and of course penetrative sex. What it concerns more is your short cervix at this time. You need to follow up that, for it can be a sign of 'incompetent cervix'.

The low lying placenta does not cause any problems if it is not covering the internal os. The shorter length of cervix can increase the chances of preterm labor. Do have an adequate rest to avoid complications.
