Pregnant. Had Thick Brownish, Yellowish Discharge, Vaginal Pains, Pressure Off And On. Why Is This?
I am 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I went to the hospital wednesday night with alot of pain and couldnt stand up straight, they checked me and I was 1cm dialated but still thick and not having contractions. this morning I started having thick brownish and yellowish discharge and still vaginal pains and pressure off and on. Should I be getting prepared for baby?
Hi, Your symptoms suggest that you are into pre-labor and the vaginal pain is perhaps due to the descent of the baby leading to pelvic pressure. As you are only 33 weeks now, your symptoms need to be alleviated. You should see your consultant and get assessed for the status of your pregnancy. You may need steroid injections and tocolytics along with absolute rest with foot end elevation and treatment of any vaginal or urinary infections to postpone labor for at least 3-4 weeks. If that is not possible, you should get admitted to a hospital with proper preterm baby care facilities. Wish you safe motherhood.
