Pregnant. Getting Shooting Pains, Stabbing Pains And Twitching In Legs, Arm And Chest. Any Advice?

Hi, i constantly get shooting pains and stabbing pains and twitches in my legs mainly and also in my arms and chest . I am currently pregnant but experienced all the symptoms before just not as often and severe, is there any advise you can give me before i get to the doctors on Wednesday please . Hi Naomi,

The likely cause for your symptoms would be a multivitamin deficiency, calcium deficiency. These kind of pains do occur in peripheral neuropathies as well.

When you go to the doctor get your calcium levels, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D tested. You will benefit by taking nerve supplements like Neurobion forte for a few months.

Since you are pregnant now, you will be on calcium and B-complex. So there is no need to take extra medicine for the same.

It is better not to do anything about these now as you are pregnant and unnecessary investigations and treatment is unnecessary in pregnancy.
