Pregnancy Velocimetry Doppler Ultrasound Showing Right Uterine Arteries Show End Diastolic. What Does It Mean?

I m 38 weeks pregnant and had my velocimetry doppler ultrasound a while ago. The results says : DOPPLER FLOW STUDIES SHOW NORMAL VALUES FOR THE UMBILICAL, MIDDLE CEREBRAL AND BOTH UTERINE ARTERIES. RIGHT UTERINE ARTERIES SHOW END DIASTOLIC NOTHING. What does the END DIASTOLIC NOTHING means? is it bad or good for the baby? Need your answer as soon as possible thanks.

Hello, Welcome to HCM, I am Dr. Das.

Look, this end diastolic notching means fetal compromisation. That means there is intrauterine growth retardation. It may also progress to fetal death.

I am sorry but it is a very bad sign.

Consult with your treating doctor for further management.

Regards.
