Pregnancy Symptoms Despite Taking Birth Control. Period Like Cramps. Any Advice?

Me and my boyfriend have unsafe sex quite often, but I am on birth control. I haven't missed a pill, or been late. I was experiencing some pregnancy symptoms but I got my period. It only lasted about 3 days, though. I am spotting, and my sides are cramping. It's not like a period cramp, though. It really hurts when people push on my belly. Could I be pregnant? How likely is that?

Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex because you have missed your pills.
You should consult a gynecologist to rule out pregnancy by ultrasonogrphy.
Bleeding and cramps may be because of pregnancy or pills also.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
As you are taking birth control regularly and did not miss any tablet, chances of having pregnancy is not likely.
Again you got your period in time you have not to worry about pregnancy.
Scanty period for three days are no problem.
Due to birth control tablets flow can be less.
Pain in belly while pressing might be due to some gastric problem.
