Persisting Symptoms Post Treatment For Typhoid Fever, Persisting Low Grade Temperature. How Many Days Does Typhoid Fever Stay?

i was diagnosed to be having typhoid fever 10 weeks earlier.i was given antibiotics but cant recover from diesese meanwhile my mp (pv) was also found +ve and i was given antibiotics and FALCIAGO injection but i m not feeling well .my temperature remains about 99.5.and i feels feverish.i have eaten so many antibiotics in past 2 months . so iwant to know that how many days typhoid fever actually stays?

Welcome to the forum. Typhoid fever may get well in 10-15 days in some while it may take a longer period in case of other patients. Healthier patients get well faster if they have a milder infection. Recovery of the symptom depends upon the severity of the disease, general health of the patient, proper medication, adequate rest and a proper diet. The recovery time varies from individual to individual.

I will suggest you to consult your treating doctor. Your typhoid fever had been complicated with malaria ( you mentioned mp positive ). Your general health needs attention, care and rest. It is not necessary but if your general health is still weak typhoid fever may relapse. ( recurrences occur)

Low grade fever will weaken you further, get clinically examined again. Eat boiled, blanched food ( semi solid ) in nature. Take fruits, berries, green veggies and low fat dairy products. Keep well hydrated.
