Persisting Sore Throat After Having Pneumonia. Dark Urine. What Is Wrong?
Last year, I was diagnosed of pneumonia (lasted for about 3months on treatment before I got better). I have had a sore throat for about 2 months. For the past 2 weeks, since i had sex with my boyfriend, I have realized my urine has become darker and it smells. I do not feel to good and experience a lot of weakness. I hope I am not pregnant. I also want to find out if it has anything to do with the sore throat.
Hi an dthanks for the query,
Continuos sorethroat and chronic lung infections deserve a very keen clinical evaluation. I suppose a tuberculin skin tests and sputum examination were done to exclude the possibility of pulmonry tuberculosis. Doing a HIV test could also be worthwhile and a fasting blood sugar. Immune suppression could predispose to have continuos sore throats and lung infections. Other clinical syndrmes could also explain the scenario. A family history of asthma and other lung disieases could also be useful to know.
Changes in urine color could be subjective or objective. Clinical observation and appreciation could be necessary. A decrease in the quantity of water you drink or recent change in environment could change urine concentrations, and consequently changes in the colours.
Consulting your primary care physician for an appraisal and presription of tests, if need be, is my suggestion.
thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
