Pap Smear Done, Bleeding Little. On And Off Itching. Gave Flucoric, Bemetrazole. Possible Problem?

Hi de , I had a papsmear done yesterday as I was getting on and off itching , so when they tOok the paspmear , they saw a lot of discarge so the doctor said he won't take the papsmear for a test to the laboratory ,he will first give me antibiotics and than after the anitbiotics are finished than I can come back to do the papsmear , he gave me the ffg tablets flucoric cap 200 mg to take 1 capsule weekly and he gave me bemetrazole 400 mg to take twice daily , now since they did the papsmear I was bleeding little and I thought its the papsmear ,but now I'm confused because its my period time as well , but the bleeding started when I took the papsmear , not so much little and little and more is coming , what could be the problem ,I am a 25 year old indian lady.

Hi.

According to the symptoms likely you suffering from vaginitis.
As it is an infection of vagina so antibiotics are mandatory.

Hopefully after starting the medication you will be relieved from symptoms within 24 hours.

Coming over to your query

In vaginitis some times due to infection walls of vagina are swollen and any tampering can cause bleeding which may have happened during taking papsmear, but this will be very little and will be for sometime and will not last for day or two unless again some tampering has been done like intercourse.

So most probably you must have started with your periods as you are saying flow is increasing.

If you are still confused about it then its better to get it checked internally by a gynaecologist for any injury to be on a safer side.
