I felt last night a pain on the right lateral anterior side of my head above the temple of my head. It felt like a strong cramp , and I could not explain it. The pain subsided after about five minutes. I have no history of stroke or heart attack . I do not have high blood pressure, but I do smoke . I do not drink alcohol. Neurologist 's  Response
Hello
i am a neurologist and i thank you for posting this question in HCM
Let me tell you that the causes of heacahe are many and it can be due to migrain, cluster headache, brain infection, tumor, low or high pressure in the brain and so on. Further, the presence or absence of associated symptoms like the duration of pain, vomiting, visual complaints or other neurological symptoms will help[ us to narrow down the possibility and diagnosis. And also a neurological examiantion will fguide us. I donot know your age. You may follow the following two path
1. Go to a neurophysician immediately and get a CT scan done so that it will rule out any serious brain problem which can cause headahe. aND IF ct HEAD SCAN IS NORMAL YOU CAN TAKE PARACETAMOL OR OTHER ANALGESICS.
2. In the absence of any other symptoms you can diractly take analgesics and wait . If you develop new symptoms or your headache persists, you can meet a doctor and follow him

Just relax, i believe that you donot have anything serious
Hope this will help you
