Hi
Left sided chest pain along with tachycardia requires a detailed evaluation.
Also to be noted is the history of heart disease in the family.
People with history of asthma on broncho-dilator inhalers also suffer from drug induced tachycardia at times.

Investigations suggested are:

1.ECG: 12 lead and a rhythm strip.
2.Blood tests: Complete blood count, Random blood sugar,
Serum electrolytes: sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium
Thyroid function test
3. Chest X- ray

The main reason behind getting these tests done is that in cases of sinus tachycardia we do not treat the tachycardia but treat the cause.

Once the investigations are done then only we can plan the appropriate line of management.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

It might be due to muscle spasm which may be because of the bad posture. It will be better if you see physiotherapist to correct the posture in case and also for proper exercise.

I advice you to apply over the counter analgesic cream or spry to the affected area. If it does not provided any benefit i advice you to get an ECG and consult the physician to rule out any heart condition.

Hope I have provided the information you needed.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Pulmonologist Dr. Arnab Maji's  Response
hi
thanks for your query
chest pain due to vitamin deficiency alone is rarest.
you need to be evaluated further by a pulmonologist by physical examination, chest x-ray, pulmonary function testing, ECG
if ECG is normal then you should go for a TMT testing
you should also continue ms star plus XL
but you must consult a pulmonologist
thank you
