Pain In The Calf Muscle After Playing. Injury? Had Achilles Tendon Surgery In The Past

I play rugby and recently felt pain in lower leg below calf muscle.. dull pain but i can not push off to run. I have full rotation and can contract my calf muscle without pain. Feel like a charlie horse or maybe a bruise but I am worried because i can not make hard pushes when walking and can not run. Ive stretched it and pain scale is a 3-4. Ive had achilles tendon surgery on that leg so i dont want to push it too much and make it worse. Possible injury? Treatment and for how long?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the calf muscle could be due to a muscle cramp, sprain or a tear due to excessive stress during palying. Rest, mild pain killers, muscle relaxants and hot fomentation will be helpful.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
