Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Probing the ear is always dangerous. Injuries to the external auditory canal are common in those probing ear. Having said that, yes impacted wax can cause pain and hearing difficulties. The best option would be to see a qualified doctor who can try syringing or assisted wax removal to clean the ear and relieve your symptoms.

Other options would be to try a few drops of wax dissolving solution which are easily available at a chemist store nearby.

Avoid probing the ear again. And do not hesitate to consult a doctor if things don't improve.

Hope this helps.

Regards
