Pain In Left Breast, Done X-rays Of Lungs Normal, Feels Cracked Rib Cage, Pain Shifted To Nipple. Recommendations?

hello I am a 46 year old male..i have had a pain in the left breast area for about a year now...not significant more hurt when I took a very deep breath...had x-rays of lung and ribs also an e.k.g all good. blood work but nothing negative to report. Then about 1 week ago I was leaning over the front of a vehicle working on engine and I had all my weight on my left side trying to loosen a tight bolt..and it was like something in my rib cage just gave. hard to explain but something shifted or whatever and it was severe pain level 10. the bones hurt so I thought torn muscles bruised or cracked ribs..hurt to breath...again I had xrays (left ribs and lung) nothing negative...however the pain I have had for 1 year now has intensified 100 fold and to push on left nipple...well it hurts to the extreme..loosing my mind...nothing on xray..nothing on blood..and normal e.k.g..help

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since all the X-rays do not show any bone injury, it seems that you have suffered a muscle fiber tear or a soft tissue injury in the area. You need use a chest belt to give rest to the area, do a hot fomentation and take mild pain killers.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
