Pain In Calf Muscle With Swelling From Ankle To Knee, Spotty Rash, Itching. Suggestions?

Hi my husband is 53 he said about the middle of last week his cavles were kinda sore, thinking nothing of it he went to work fri and just got home toda. his cavles are still sore but he now has swelling in the front of his legs from the ankle up to almost the knee and there is also a spotty kinda rash. should he be concerned? there is no itching but he says it feels kinda tight. Thankyou

Welcome at HCM.

I have read your query.I am very much concerned about symptoms of your husband.

Such type of swelling in limbs can be there due to-

-Injury or strain to muscles

-Heart failure or heart disease

-Thyroid disorder

-Deep vein thrombosis

I shall advice you to consult to your doctor & hve complete investigation including DOPPLAR scan of legs.Till then he should keep his limb elevated on a pillow.

Apply a soft ace or crepe bandage on legs(starting from foot to thigh).
