Hello Shiva
Thank you for getting in touch with us. As I see, you have been having pain in your shoulder for about 2 weeks. As the pain has not responded to medicines, it means there is some other reason which can only be ascertained after a scan. Therefore, I would recommend you to go for a scan as soon as possible. If you are worried about the cost, you can get it done at a government hospital. Without the scan, we would not be able to point out the exact cause. In the meanwhile, we would recommend you to stop doing strenuous exercise as they can aggravate the condition. Hope this helped

Shoulder joint has a lot of ligaments and tendons and overstretching can lead to tear of any of these. The best treatment is to avoid all forms of exercise till the torn structure heals. This might take a couple of weeks depending on the extent of tear. Till then you can continue taking analgesics which also have an anti-inflammatory action in addition. Also, give hot compresses to the area on a daily basis as this also helps. If you cannot afford costly diagnostic procedures simply take rest for a couple of weeks and let us know how it feels.
