Pain Between Scar And Belly Button After Hysterectomy. Hard Lump. Normal?

I had a hysterectomy on 12 July this year. Whilst I have recovered very well I have continued to have pain between my scar and my tummy button. It is sore to touch the skin as well as internally sore and it feels like there is a hard lump under this area that wasn t there before my op. My doc sent me back to the hospital about 5 weeks after op because she was concerned with this and she was hoping they would do a scan but they just sent me home and told me it was normal. Should I go back to the doc and push for a scan or is this normal?

It could be hypertrophy scar which will definitely improve over time. Diagnosis requires just a simple bedside clinical examination. Ask your doctor what he/she is thinking it to be. For any further help, get back to me.
