this isnt a query. i just wanted to respond to something. i read that a doctor advised someone to use hydroquinone and tretinoin gel. hydroquinone is cancerous and tretinoin is a relatively new drug whose possible side effects have not even fully been discovered. i am a patient of pcos and i have suffered from severe acne from the age of 15. i have tried a million facewashes(cetaphil) included, creams, ointments, antibiotics etc. everything was useless until they did a hormone test on me and discovered that i was actually suffering from pcos. finally i was treated for my hormones and then by a dermatologist. by a combination of hormone inducing pills and antibiotics finally my acne left and i now have clear skin. i was also given isotretinoin which was d worst experience of my life. i used it for five months and instead my acne just got worse. i kept getting sunburned, throwing up and even started feeling depression which is very common for people taking isotretinoin or accutane as its called in the west and then i requested my dermatologist to stop the pill after which i started feeling much better. needless to say acne is a condition depicting that the inside of ur system needs attention. topical treatments and antibiotics will not treat the cause. they only treat the symptom. please do research and study different medicines and their side effects before you start following any form of advice. afterall its ur life.
