Overdosed On Citalopram. Had Seizure. Still Dizzy, Light Headed And Weak. Had Low BP. Related?

I overdosed on Citalopram, but it wasn't even that many. Just 5. I got myself to hospital, and had a seizure. It's all really hazy from then onwards. Almost a week later, I'm still dizzy, light headed, weak, and feel very sick. and empty inside. I do remember a nurse saying I had low blood pressure, is this a cause for the dizziness?

Hi,
You have not mentioned 5 citalopram tabs of how many mg. Overdose of citalopram can cause seizures, nausea, vomiting, sweating, drowsiness etc. Prolonged low heart rate and hypotension (reduced bp) have also been reported. Low bp can cause dizziness, weakness and lightheadedness. Another cause of feeling weak, low on energy and empty inside is the underlying condition for which you are recieving the drug.
An evaluation by your psychiatrist will be helpful.
Hope this helps,
