Optician Took Photos If Back Of Eye, White Spots In Left Eye. Is It Serious?
hi, i went to the opticians on saturday. At the end of the exam he took photos of the back of my eyes, and my left eye has white spots. He told me that i have to see my gp and he will refer me to the eye hospital. Its been on my mind all weekend. Im going to see the doctor tomorrow, but i want to be perpared incase it is serious. Could u please help me. Thanks. Emma

Thank you for your query. Not knowing your age, it is difficult to exactly tell you the reason of "white spots". The optician has rightly referred you to an ophthalmologist who shall do a complete work up and decide. Since you are not having any problems, I presume that the spots shall be anything to worry about.
