On Doxycycline Hyclate For Acne. My Lymph Node In The Ear Is Swollen Blurry Vision. Problem?
Hello, I started doxycycline hyclate for acne about two weeks ago, taking 100mg capsule once a day and three days ago the lymph node behind my left ear was really swollen causing pain when i tried to brush my hair or turn my head. Ive also been having slightly blurry vision on my left eye that comes and goes. I called the dermatologist yesterday and she just said to stop taking the medication and see her on Monday.I took ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation in my lymph node. but now i am wondering if I need to go to urgent care, because my swollen lymph node and blurred vision might be an indication of a worse reaction to the medication. Please advise, if there is anything further I should do. Thank you.

Hello. Blurred vision may be a result of taking doxycycline ,but swollen lymph node is not adverse effect of doxycycline.
Swollen lymph node occurs when there is infection in nearby area:
Ear infection, Tooth infection or Acne infection cause swollen lymph node.Go to a Emergency Service because ,surely ,you need to take another antibiotic
as soon as possible.
