Noticed Swelling & Pain Of Vagina & Extreme Pressure On Bladder

Hi, this morning I can't stop rushing to the bathroom with the urge to pee. And when I do pee it only a tiny bit and it burns where I'm almost in tears, when I wipe its pink, so I think there's blood in it, but I did just end my period, I have extreme pressure on my bladder, and the last few times me and my boyfriend have had sex my vagina has been so swollen and in so much pain.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, it could be suggestive of urinary tract or bladder infection. Do a urine examination for R/E, M/E and vaginal swab test to confirm the diagnosis.

I suggest her to take proper antibiotic (like Ciprofloxacin etc) and urine alkalizer to reduce infection load.

Drink more water (2.5-3 lit/ day), take Cranberry juice in the morning, maintain genital hygiene properly during or after sex, wear clean and cotton underwear.

Keep the area always dry. Avoid chemical bath products. Good luck.
