Hello,

You have a large red spot with white heads on it. It can be boils/pimples or warts. Stay away from harsh chemicals/ detergents, perfumed lotions, certain plants or chemical based hygiene products that may cause allergy and hence itchy, red bumps. Friction or pressure from tight clothing, long periods of sitting, uncomfortable fabric also leads to bumps. Sometimes, minor traumatic injury to the butt area can result in bruising or irritation that may manifest as bumps or lumps in the area.

Wear loose, not tight-fitting clothes, take care of your hygiene and avoid activities that cause excessive skin rubbing. You can apply ointment Neosporin on the affected area. Take a course of Augmentin orally as butt bumps do not go away easily. In case your butt bump is persistent and bothersome, you should see a physician, get STD tests done to stay on the safer side (to rule out HPV) infection. If wart is detected it will require surgical removal, cryotherapy or laser treatment. Control your blood glucose level to prevent spread.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
