Sir, I have been suffering from hypothyroidism and amenorrhea for 12 years. I am 34 now. I have a 9-year-old daughter. I am also obese now. I have pitting edema also. Everyday, I am taking Eltroxin 50 mcg. Thyroxine level is normal. But I am unable to lose weight and edema. I don t get my periods also. What should I do? Please advise. I got all the tests done. Everything is normal.

Dear ma'm, hi! when you say thyroxine normal, it means T4 normal. but i would like to know your TSH, LH, FSH, and Estradiol values as well. you are 34 yrs, and have 9 years old daughter. if i am correct you had your daughter when you were 25. and probably since then you have amenorrhea. probably you have pituitary dysfunctioning. Regards!
