Night Sweats, Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck, Jaw, Armpit, Groin. Normal Flu Symptoms?

Is it common to have heavy night sweats every night with the Flu virus? Flu symptoms and night sweats began at the same time. Began 5 days ago I have palpable lymph nodes in my neck, Jaw, armpit and groin (mosstly less than 1cm)... but these have been there for some time and have not changed in shape or size. I have shown them to my GP. Even now the virus has almost gone I am still getting sweats.
