My boyfriend has a history of high blood pressure and heart problem, along with diabetes that run in his family, and he cut his hand today at work and it wasn t bad but he passed out. He is on Lisinopril 5MG tablet for high blood pressure. Could you give me a reason for this happening. Keep in mind he went to the doctor three months ago and they said he had high blood pressure but no sig of diabetes. thank you

Dear Mrs,

If he passed out after he cut his hand, then the most probable cause is vasovagal syncope, which is not dangerous.
It has nothing to do with his familiy hystory of diabetes.
The only thing I will advise you try to monitor his blood pressure during the week to be sure he doesn't have low blood pressure readings.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
