i have been on pep for two weeks following unprotected sex that involved some rectal trauma. i started experiencing painful urination, and have been constipated for most of this time. my partner is undetectable but his semen did remain inside me for nearly fivs days! i am so nervous as i live in the wild nomadically and contracting hiv is not the same for me as it would be for someone living in a city or plugged into the system. is this pain in my eurethra coming from some unknown infection or could the hiv infection be causing the constipation and other symptoms? i was given a shot also upon a return visit in my butt and there is dull pain all around the injection area 8 days later. it was for chlamydia or ghonnorea. is all of this relatively normal for pep patients?
