Neck Pain, Pronounced Swelling, Concentrated In Knot. Need Biopsy. Using Steroid Eyedrops. Lymphoma Symptoms?

My husband woke up a week ago with the right side of his neck swollen. He has had a needle biopsy and we are waiting on the results. This happened literally overnight. He has no other symptoms of lymphoma. He has been using a steroid eye drop for more than a year because of shingles. The swollen gland is on the same side as the affected eye. Is there any possibility the gland could be associated with shingles or steroid drops. The swelling is more pronounced in the morning (he sleeps on that side) and becomes concentrated into a knot during the day.

Hi,
Steroid eye drop has no relation with neck swelling directly. If the swelling is painless then consistency, surface , border of the swelling should be clinically accessed. Core needle biopsy should be done to get the correct diagnosis. Take care.
