My Husband Had A 9mm Kinsey Stone Removed This Afternoon.

My husband had a 9mm Kinsey stone removed this afternoon. He had a stent placed, but has had very little relief today. His pain became excruciating within an hour of returning home. He had chills with sweating and vomitting. He is on hydrocodon, but it has not offered much relief at all. He went through about two hours of tolerable pain, but has been vomitting again and is in intense pain. It is normal for the pain related to the stent to be this severe hours later, or is it possible that it has moved into his kidney? He wants to know how long should he stay in this amount of pain before seeking emergancy attention? Is this a normal side effect of the removal and stent ? Thank you! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
