My Ear Begins To Hurt When I Blow My Nose Too Hard. Did I Pop My Eardrum?

I blew my nose too hard and my ear began to hurt. It seems to be ringing and I'm very uncomfortable for sleeping. WHen I tried to lay down with that ear down, it was bothering me and it even bothers me some to lay on my back putting pressure on the back of my head as it somehow translates over to my ear area. Did I pop my eardrum?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Blowing the nose hard builds up pressure in the middle ear cavity and this may be the reason of ear ache.
Pain in the ear does not mean a ear drum rupture.
A very common cause of ear ache and tingling sensation is accumulation of ear wax.
Accumulation of excess amounts of ear wax can cause symptoms of pain and tingling sensation.
Consult an ENT specialist for clinical examination of the ear.
If wax is accumulated it can removed by putting some ear drops and then manually removing them.

Thanks and take care
