My Cousin Is Sick. We Need Help. She Is Diabetic,

My cousin is sick. We need help. She is diabetic, and takes the following meds: Novolog, Atorvastatin 20mg, and aspirin. She recently had a Lucentis shot in her eye. Following the shot, she became very confused, like memory loss, speech was slurred, but she could finally get out what she wanted to say.
Blood sugar was low (50-60) and she ate bringing it up to 150. Eye is VERY blood shot. She was in hospital but they sent her home with no explanation.
Is it possible: if Lucentis was shot into a vain in her eye, could this have these reactions?
Thank you for your help. Pam
