Mid Section Chest Pain While Lying Down, Got Hit While Playing. Should I Meet A Doctor?

my 16 yr old daughter was hit in the chest area today by another 10 yr old boy, they were playing around and so now she has mid section chest pain and it hurts when she lays down. do you think this is a major injury where she will need to go to the ER? she feels a little better when she sits up with her breathing but not laying down. thanks

Hi dear
Welcome to the board of Health Care Magic
Simple hurting in the chest usually is not very serious,
But it is little worry some that the pain increases in lying down position and she is better in sitting position.
In my opinion you should visit to the ER to rule out any emergent situation and to get immediate attention.
Hope your query is answered.
Thanks
