MY Baby Having Loose Motions. What Should I Do ?
hello doctor , my son is 9th month old.he is having loose motions 3-4 times a day since 3days.he has cut 4 teeth, but he didn't have stools at that time, now he is cutting 5th tooth. but this time he is having stools.i can't understand this is due to teething or due to something else. and what should i do for it? i also started giving him wheat and honey cerelac he just ate 1 day.at that day he also did loose stools 2-3 times. i think it didn't suit him so i didn't give him again.so Plz guide me to stop his loose stools?

Hello,
Usually diarrhea ,fever,loss of apetite is usually associated with teething in child.
Since you baby has got already 4 teeth erupted,we cannot predict the cause as teething .
To prevent dehydration,plenty of fluids and ORS solution can be given.
Please discontinue giving the type of food which your child dislikes.
also CONSULT A physician as well as dentist regarding this.
Breast milk has to be given frequently.
Take care.
