Thank you for posting your query, and uploading the
MRI report of your spouse.
The choice of treatment depends not only on the findings of MRI, but also patient's symptoms and findings of clinical examination.
If he has
severe leg pain, or bladder symptoms, or leg weakness, then surgery may be required.
However, if pain is the only symptom, then surgery can be postponed. In this case, treatment would consist of
bed rest,
physiotherapy and medications such as
pregabalin.
