Lymph Nodes On Side Of Neck, Bumps, Skull Pain, Pain In Root Of Hair. Can This Be Shingles?
Can U get shingles on your head? Without the blisters? Can Shingles just be swollen large Very painful red bumps? Causing even the roots of my hair to hurt! I also had large Lymph nodes on the side of my neck & the bumps were also only on the left side of my skull which lasted a few days but even over a week now I still have the skull pain.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Shingles will affect a single nerve almost entire course. It will appear one side of the body. It can affect on one side of head extending into the hair covered area.Initially it will appear without blisters as erythematous (reddish) rash, raised pappules. The symptoms will start vanish within 2 weeks. You may have to take anti viral drugs along with antibiotics and pain killers. If there is no blister at all, it is better to review the diagnosis by getting examined by a Dermatologist. Dr S.murugan
