When you say it is on your throat, I assume you mean on the skin of your neck. You may in fact, have MRSA, which is a staph infection and this needs to be evaluated.
Depending on the size of the lump, Bactroban
ointment could be used (for smaller abscesses) or you may need an incision and drainage
You did not state if it was getting bigger or not.
Use Dial antibacterial soap or Hibiclens
, which you can get from a drug store and cost more than dial soap, in the shower. This will cut down on the bacterial count.
But someone needs to see it.
