Patient having chronic chest pathologies like chronic asthma,COPD,are more prone to develop infection,because their airways are senstive to different environmental stimuli such as allergens,changing weather,cold etc,so in your case you should take measures and avoid things that can trigger infection,second you can use Monteleukast to prevent future asthma attacks,avoid smoking and adopt healthy life styles.
