Lower Back Pain, Groin Area Pain. Is This An Appendix Issue?

I have very bad pain in lower back on right side o ly when I walk or stand , even for a short period of time. It is going around into my groin area. I am 55 yrs old female . I am active and I am not overweight. This started at the end of June. I have to sit down or bend over to relieve the pain . Someo e said I could be have a appendix attack. Is this a symptom ?

Pain you described could be due muscle spasm or renal origin.Ultrasound of abdomen can detect Pathology.Treatment depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports.

thanks for your query
i can feel your concerns

appendicular pain is usually felt in lower right quadrant on front side

do you have any problem in urination,burning or frequent urination?

pain you describe seems to be renal origin

i advise you to consult your doctor

have a proper clinical examination

you may need few investigations like blood test and ultrasound

wishing you speedy recovery

Hi, many thanks for the query!
This can be muscular or stone related pain..
In case of acute appendicitis, pain is in RIF, usually associated with nausea & vomiting, fever..etc unlikely in your case.
You need to do- USG KUB empty stomach, X-ray KUB, Urine (R & M),
RFT, CBC, Blood Sugar Level.
Till then take antispasmodics, antacids, pain killers, muscle relaxants with
your doctor's opinion.
Drink plenty of water so that at least 2 litres of urine is voided in 24 hrs.
