Lost A Baby To Pre-eclampsia, Now Pregnant, Have Nausea, On Zofran. Constipated. Anything To Relieve It ?
I have lost one baby to pre-eclampsia actually going into Hellp Syndrome I am now 26 weeks and experiencing nausea, vomiting. Dr put me on zofran which has caused constipation. I have been unable to release my bowel for 4 days now. I generally feel flu-ish. My blood pressure is fine at this time. However, when I went to the hospital it was elevated with fever. I was given fluids and my blood pressure immediatly dropped to normal. I am drinking very good amounts of water. I have tried prunes, hot water with lemon and Dr. Pepper. Is there anything I can do to relieve the constipation?
Hi, Thanks for the query. You better go fro laxative medicines after consulting your doctor. As natural remedies are not working for you, better to go for medicines to avoid complications. And continue taking sufficient water. You have to take regular antenatal checkups especially blood pressure should be monitored regularly to diagnose any deviation from the normal at the earliest. Take salt restricted diet and take rest preferably in left lateral position. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
