Loss Of Appetite, Nausea. Asacol Taken Previously. Tests Negative. Advise?

Could loss of appetite and nausea be caused by missing dosages of asacol? I am supposed to take 5 tablets (400mg) twice daily and I sometimes miss my morning dose. I have recurring bouts with loss of appetite and nausea. This has been going on for over a year. Food and environmental odors trigger nausea. I've had every kind of test and they are negative.

Hi,
Asacol 400 mg tablets contain the active substance melsalazine which is an anti-inflammatory drug used in the treatment of Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's ileo-colitis.
If you forget to take a dose at the required time, take it as soon as you remember and continue taking your tablets as before. Do not take more than two doses in one hour. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and carry on as before.
Like all medicines, Asacol 400 mg tablets can cause common side effects of abdominal pain and nausea.
