Little Amount Of Blood Mixed With Saliva. Passive Smoker, Not Red Blood. Suggestions ?

Hello Doctor, I could see little amount of blood mixed with saliva when i spit. This happened to me couple of times. However, it s only 2 or 3 times in a month. I m not sure if i am getting it from gums or from the other areas. I believe if it s from gums, i would be knowing. Note: The blood is not dark red and i m a passive smoker. Can any one suggest me on this. Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Praneethr,
hanks for query,
It seems that blood is coming from your mouth some where.
Most probably might be from your teeth or gums.
Any infection in the gums may bleed.
Deposition of tarter can also give rise to bleeding.
Consult dentist and get your teeth examined.
Ok and bye.
