Leg Pain, Advised Hip Surgery Due To Hip Joint Damage. Suggestion?

My mother is suffering from pain in both legs. we consult 2-3 doctors for that, they advice for the Hip surgery. They told both the hip joints gone due to some disease. What to do please suggest ?. Her age 51 years. If surgery is required & we can go for that is there any risk for that. What are the precautions she has to take if both the hip joints are replaced

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems that your mother either has a degeneration of joints due to arthritis or due to an infective disorder like TB. A detailed evaluation and investigations like MRI are needed to advise regarding the need fo surgery.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
