Leg Injury, Bruise, Haematoma, Reducing Slowly, Swelling And Becoming Hard Again. Causes And Treatment?

I think this would be directed at a hematologist - I had a four wheeler accident almost two months ago - my leg got the brunt of the trauma and bruised badly - the main impact developed a hematoma . All the bruising went away and the hematoma seemed to be reducing but last night the area began to rebruise and it s very hard again - what s happening?

Hi,
It is likely that you had a bleeding again at the same site, or possibly an infection,
In either situation, a medical evaluation is indicated for appropriate diagnosis and specific treatment,
since the treatment protocol would be quite different for both the conditions,
Warm regards
