Lack Of Sleep, Discomfort. USG Shows Fatty Liver. Prescribed Ursocol. Worried

sir my name is mercy 48yrs female last 2 weeks i have lack of sleep and discomfort ..i consult with a doctor he told me to take ultra sound scan .then i took scan the result shows "'smooth normal size and fatty liver"' and the doctor adviced me to take ursocol300 tablet ..but still i am worried about this disease can u tell me what the treatment i want to take and what are the test can useful to know more....

Hi Ms Mercy,
Thanks for writing in.
Fatty liver is a condition which needs prompt attention . I would suggest the following
1. Stop all existing medications including ursocol.
2. Start tricholine citrate - sorbitol combination.(2tablespoons in a glass of warm water once in the morning)
3. Onithine compounds are needed in the dosage of one tablet three times a day.
4. Dietary modifications as advised by a medical dietician.
5. Regular exercise for at least 30 minutes.
6. Vitamin supplements.
7. repeat USG and liver function tests after 6 months.
I am sure your problem will be cured by the aforementioned treatment.
