Is Vomiting With Blood Normal During Pregnancy?

Hi i am 19 years old and i am about 10weeks pregnant i havent visit a doctor yet. This is my first pregnancy. ive been having non stop vomiting and i am not able to keep any food down. Today when i was vomiting i saw blood in my vomit and have lost about 4 to 5 pounds. I feel very hungry at time but when i eat o cant keep it down. Is this normal...???

Hi..congratulations on your pregnancy first..vomiting as such is normal during first trimester i.e the first 3 months of pregnancy..you can take tab doxinate 2 tablets at bedtime to get rid of it..in addition take plenty of fluids in your diet to avoid dehydration and a ginger candy would also help with your symptoms.
Sometimes forceful vomiting act may cause mucosal injury and hence bleeding.
In any circumstances if you find that your vomiting is intractable and doesn't respond to medications,or this bleeding during vomit repeats , you should rush to a hospital for inpatient treatment ( iv fluids transfusion and electrolyte maintenance)..
I would also advise an obstetric scan to look for the number, viability and other parameters of your pregnancy.
Don't worry, weight gain is more relevant from third month onwards..
