Is Thyroid Nodule Treatment With Leech Therapy Correct?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I am an 35 years old and I am from Romania . Couse I am very scared about surgery right now I make a treatment for a tyroid nodule (around 4 cm long on near the surface and of my central-left side of my neck) with hirudo medicinalis (farm-leech).This kind of treatment was sugested to me by a Doctor from Bucharest - he use to practice with the help of leech ,BUT according to the Doctor - I am the first subject to use leech for tyroid nodule. He ask me to put two leeches (at one time) to my tyroid nodule and in the same time another one to my backside-neck on the cervical artery AND all this for the next two months a day on and a day off (right now I am by the fifth procedure=along 1o days). PLEASE advice if I am on a good way or wrong way.
This is a new way of treatment but there is no sufficient feedback on its effectiveness. Hence, I advise you to take the routine way of treatment which is surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
