Is Thyroid Issues, Related With B12 Deficiency And Muscle Pain?

i have been having a lot of joint and muscle pain to the point where i cannot move my arms at all because of shoulder and/or elbow pain. i have swollen fingers and joint/finger bone pain. My legs and feet hurt as well. my doctor told me to take b12 because i may be lacking in vitamins. I have been taking them for 2 weeks and still no relief in pain, it only helps with the swelling. I have heard this could be related to my thyroid. Any suggestions?

hello , thank you for posting your query in HMC.
yes there is possibility for hypothyroidism to be the cause for b12 deficiency.in thyroid problems the symptoms like fatigue, tiredness ,muscle pain are more severe. in b12 deficiency effects occurs to neurovascular system and cardiovascular system. if a patient with same complaints come to me in my clinic i would definitely carry out the tests for serum b12levels, throid profile test and also for rheumatoid arthritis.
