Is This Normal Of Having Periods And Dark Urine After UTI And Taking Gildess?

Hello! I m 51 and was treated for hot flashes and vagibal dryness with lose dose HRT. I started bleeding after 5 months so doc did a vaginal ultrasound and it was fine. He felt he was too aggressive so he put me on gildess. After 12 days of taking it I now have a light period and dark urine. Also, my last visit I had a uti and was given antibiotics. Is this normal?

Using Gildess as HRT could be a little much as the hormone levels in birth control pills tend to be a little higher than in traditional HRT. The dark urine could be for a variety of reasons but you should drink plenty of fluids, mainly water to make sure it is not related to low fluid intake. Some spotting can occur with any hormone regime. as your body has to get used to the medication. Consider discussing this regimen with your doctor and ask if there are any other options.
